STRESS FREE SUNDAYS

The alarm doesn't ring
Its the noon sun that wakes you
The tea is sipped with half closed eyes
With a favorite biscuit or two
You slip back between the sheets
For another short nap till brunch
But you do devour the paper before
And have a little something to munch
Breakfast in bed was the cliche
brunch in bed is the new in
With a tall glass of wine you plan
A beautiful day which is yet to begin
The weekdays are for work
A man has to earn his bread!
But this day is for pure leisure
For family, friends and lazing in bed
As the sun goes down to sleep
You dress for the party in town
Or the movie in theater perhaps
Where all your worries you drown
You have to recharge you batteries
For the demanding week ahead
Its only the sundays that you live
Other days you are dead...
